The best time to climb the Fushi Inari in Kyoto is early in the morning or right before the sunset. It is amazing! Barely crowded, and I do that every evening as an exercise when I stay in Kyoto!

$1,200 a day on food wtf? Did I hear that right?

I did this itinerary, like 90% of what he said to do. If I was to do it again I’d do it across 3 weeks and spend a couple extra nights in certain places (mt Fuji, Gujo hachiman and Kyoto) and also do extensive research on each spot to see whether I would like it or not. I did enjoy it all but there are some things I could’ve skipped and spent going to other places in Japan that weren’t on the list. All in all a good reference. Japan is beautiful

Japan rail pass has nearly doubled in price recently. It might not be worth it anymore!

2 weeks in japan budget in the end is wrong.

hotel budget you put 440 usd...
that average out for 31 usd a night
most capsuls hotel will cost 50-60 per 1 person not to mention if your 2 people it's 120
most hotels the cheap ones starts at 130usd a night for a 12m room
440 usd for 2 people not realistic even for 1 not realistic.

also meals and activies, you put universal, alone for 2 people it's a 3-400 usd for tickets and snaks how for 2 weeks 1200 i dont know. it would be much more.

and transport lastly is much more expensive now. as they made the JP triple the price.

i think nowdays for 2 weeks most couples will pay around 4-5K usd. that's realistic.
