Why would you 'selective' mask? Japanese do the same thing and I will never get my head around someone walking down the street, no mask, get to a certain point then put a face nappy on. I am also an Aussie who has been here for 3 years now and did not wear a mask even through the bullshit of covid. Most of the Japanese are brainwashed sheep who, if not directed to, will continue to subject themselves to not breathing natural air, instead breathing back their own carbon dioxide. I say this in sympathy for the Japanese people, and especially the younger generation who are too brainwashed and scaremongered into removing that horrible thing.

My younger sister, her husband and I are planning a trip to Japan in the next 10 months and as well traveled as I am (all European), this will be my first to Japan. I am an American and lived in the UK for nearly 4 years, so it won't be a problem for me to drive in Japan, and I am glad you have suggested that, as well as saying the language won't be too much of a worry.
