I went to a safe inn in Kyoto.
It is a capsule hotel with many free offerings.
Rice, miso soup, eggs, drinks, ice cream, etc. are free.
It's close to downtown Kyoto, so it's a great place for a long stay!

What you guys might be wondering..
1. Long Stay Plan 01:11
We can stay for 30 days for 40,000yen (About 296 USD). Price may vary..
2. Eating Raw Eggs 06:11
In Japan, it is customary to eat raw eggs over rice. Therefore, eggs distributed in Japan are sanitized so that they are safe to eat raw.
3. Cleanliness of common areas 03:27
Hotel staff regularly cleaned common areas and shared items such as massage chairs.
4. Flushing Sound Effect 08:49
This is not limited to this hotel, but many toilets in Japan are equipped with such facilities. We can use it to cover our pee sound with its water sound. Many Japanese people feel embarrassed about their pee sound, so they use it to protect their own pride.
5. Sleeping Pods 09:15
Capsule rooms are not equipped with locks. However, there are surveillance cameras outside the capsule rooms to ensure your safety. There are no cameras inside the capsule rooms, so privacy is also ensured.

I want to move in and live there.
This is very impressive

If a husband and wife traveled together, would they sleep together in one capsule or in two different capsules?

I never knew eating raw eggs was a thing.
THANKS FOR SHARING!

Nice looking hotel

I kept on thinking how easily we could house and feed the homeless in the US if we had the Japanese build and run the facilities and demanded the residents respect all the rules.

Raw egg!?!
Our rat is still here. Didn't work.
Fascinating!

Absolutely beautiful, the respect there for one another is something I have never experienced here in the UK. A place like this would be robbed and smashed up within minutes. That's the sad reality ๐ข

I know people say that life in Asian countries is miserable and hard. But I absolutely love how clean it is, that people (for the most part) aren't like a crowd of forever thirsty bull's. If I were to go to such place in any European country, all the free utensils would be gone within first 30 minutes of people going in. Nobody would be taking 1 of each item. They would abuse the freedom. Most simple example are doggy dookie trash cans with dookie bag's. You should take one when you need it, but anytime it gets refilled all the bags are taken. Not to mention the vandalism where kids throw fireworks in them or smear some nasty smelly oils on the part where you grab the bags. I wish people could behave and keep spaces clean and safe
Everything is clean and nice. They have drinks, meals, bathroom,
But it is so quiet,to calm
Where are the people,smiling, talking, mangleing,enjoying meal together.That is so sad and weared .I don't like the dehumanizing.I don't wont such a futer.No work for people,just machines, automatic,codes,.Whay would i drink allone,exept i am depressed and unhappy ๐ฎ๐ 20:12
This is insane!! $320 a month for a capsule and you get free meals and alcohol!? Crazy! What a value. My food bill for the month is $600, and I've desperately cut that back from $750 per month.

There has to be a catch. No way I can become a degenerate alcoholic with room and board for $320 a month.
My gosh that looks absolutely lovely!! They have thought of everything!! Too bad that wouldn't work for married couples, it would be ideal for exploring Kyoto and at an excellent price point! Well done to the owners and employees of this hotel!! I will never get to Japan but I do love Japanese stationery and art supplies,so if anyone knows of some excellent shops that ship to Canada, please let me know. Thank you and awesome video!! ๐จ๐ฆ
