The Enoden 1 day pass is now 800 yen as prices have increased

Each single ride would be at minimum 200 yen so as long as you plan to hop on the train 4 times you'll at least break even so it's still probably worth it, most people stop at Hase and Kamakurakoko-Mae Station (The Slam Dunk crossing) which would still make it worth it, but there's plenty of other stops you might want to make. Most people do recommend not using the Enoden to return to Kamakura station as those trains are typically overcrowded, so they suggest either riding through to Fujisawa on the Enoden or taking the Shonan monorail back from Enoshima. Try to etch out what stops you might want to make and decide before you arrive.

There is also a pass that gives you a 'free' round trip to Fujisawa station from Shinjuku + unlimited on and off riding of the Enoden and the "southbound" Odakyu line for 1640 yen, which is their attempt to spread out congestion between Hase and Kamakura stations, this can be incredibly useful for people in Tokyo proper to make the trip cheaply, however it DOES intentionally limit your choices on how you get to and from the Kamakura area, forcing you to ride a more roundabout train route from Shinjuku (the Odakyu-Odawara line). But can be a big money saver since it includes the one day pass for the Enoden line.

Is winter (December) a good time to visit Enoshima Island?

@distinctloafer 2024.07.24 04:05

24:45 Glad to see Rion is capable of making a joke, one of the first time I saw him did one.

@enjoystraveling 2024.07.08 23:05

Wow, that’s wonderful. You can walk to an island. You don’t have to bother hiring a car beautiful !

@enjoystraveling 2024.07.08 22:56

I was in Kamakura for my first and so far only time 20 years ago and that small second train that you took looks the same as back then !! I enjoyed my time there😀

May I know what type of Camera you are using? GO Pro? DJI ? or Normal Phone camera?

@autumntriesthings 2024.05.28 12:30

I love these little interactions with locals. It's as if you're in a video game and you're doing side quests!

@anhtu8910 2024.03.30 03:10

Wish I met someone who can speak English like you on my previous trip last week. It could have been much more easier

@fuzexi 2024.03.10 17:20

You keep saying , “lovin’ it”. but did you know that is MacDonalds’ slogan? It kinda doesn’t suit the food you are eating!

@fuzexi 2024.03.10 17:11

I really liked the look of the Kushimochi! Unfortunately when you said, “let’s eat” I knew I couldn’t join you, but you did your best to share the experience! I’m going to Japan with my two kids soon, and I grew up next to the sea so really miss it. I’m hoping to get a chance to swim in the sea in Japan, so you never know, maybe I’ll find that Kushimochi van too! Thank you for making this video!

@db2157 2024.02.14 09:23

I loved all of this, but why didn't you go into the caves on Enoshima?

@marymerrill1612 2024.02.06 04:36

There is a WONDERFUL hot spring spa on the right side of that entrance road in that big building. I saw the sunset from the spa and saw Mt Fuji. Beautiful.
