Bicolor and fascinating, Mojiri-ori Stole

This is a Mojiri-ori stole from the Kobooriza series by Kobo Oriza.

As the name suggests, this scarf is woven using the "mojiri-ori" technique.
The warp threads are woven in such a way as to bind the weft yarns, allowing for good air permeability, and allowing the weft yarns to be enjoyed as a material, which is a major characteristic of Mojiri-ori scarves.

The weft is made of "mokuto," a yarn made by twisting two or more colors of yarn together.
The light shades of these yarns give the entire stole a gentle texture. The natural coloring of the scarf is enriched by the bicolor of charcoal and creamish white, giving the scarf a three-dimensional impression when worn.

This 100% hemp plain weave stole is made by hand, one by one, on a loom made 100 years ago.

The pride of Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, a textile production area, is also woven into this item.

The unique crispness of the hemp material feels comfortable against the skin and creates a cool impression.
It is a perfect item for the season from spring to fall.
