This wine is well-balanced in its ripe fruitiness and elegant flavor. Merlot grapes from Nagano Prefecture, one of Japan's leading Merlot growing regions, were used to make this wine, which was carefully prepared by the winemakers at Chateau Mercian in an assemblage of original Merlot grapes. Chateau Mercian began contract growing Merlot in this region in 1976.
