"Mizutama" series chopsticks are a fun combination of colors and polka dots covered in shining light on wipe lacquer chopsticks.
Wiping lacquer is a process in which lacquer is rubbed into the wood and excess lacquer is wiped off.
This process gives the wood a moist luster, and the grain of the Noto hiba (Noto Hiba spruce) is used to create chopsticks that feel warm and natural and are comfortable to use.
All 18zen chopsticks are coated with a non-slip coating using a technique called dry lacquer to strengthen the chopstick tips and make them easier to grip.
About 18zen chopsticks
The artisans at the lacquer chopstick workshop in Wajima, the home of lacquer art, have been making chopsticks for more than 70 years. The new lacquer chopsticks fit in with today's lifestyles.
Using Noto Hiba (Noto Hiba, the prefectural tree of Ishikawa Prefecture) and the only natural lacquer paint, each pair of chopsticks is painstakingly finished using the "Ohako" technique of the lacquer chopstick workshop, which has been in existence for generations.
You can use them with peace of mind because they are made from only natural materials.
The warmth of Noto hiba (Japanese cypress) and the comfort of lacquer can be felt just by holding the chopsticks in your hands.
The non-traditional design fits a variety of lifestyles. A diverse lineup of chopsticks to choose from to match your meals.
Find your own unique pair of chopsticks that will fit in with your five senses.
