"Koma" series chopsticks, designed with brightly colored lacquer lines on white lacquer.
The original "18zen lacquering" lacquer chopsticks.
This is a lacquering technique in which the lacquer is soaked into the chopsticks, giving them a unique and unprecedentedly rough lacquered surface.
To make the chopstick tips stronger and easier to grip, all 18zen chopsticks are coated with a technique called dry lacquer to prevent slipping.
About 18zen chopsticks
The artisans at the lacquer chopstick workshop in Wajima, the home of lacquer art, have been making chopsticks for more than 70 years. The new lacquer chopsticks fit in with today's lifestyles.
Using Noto Hiba (Noto Hiba, the prefectural tree of Ishikawa Prefecture) and the only natural lacquer paint, each pair of chopsticks is painstakingly finished using the "Ohako" technique of the lacquer chopstick workshop, which has been in existence for generations.
You can use them with peace of mind because they are made from only natural materials.
The warmth of Noto hiba (Japanese cypress) and the comfort of lacquer can be felt just by holding the chopsticks in your hands.
The non-traditional design fits a variety of lifestyles. A diverse lineup of chopsticks to choose from to match your meals.
Find your own unique pair of chopsticks that will fit in with your five senses.
