Arita-yaki porcelain:Arita-yaki porcelain, characterized by its translucent, glass-like white porcelain and delicate yet gorgeous painting, was born about 400 years ago in Arita, Saga Prefecture, in the northwestern part of Kyushu. It is said that Arita-yaki was created by Ri Sanpei (Kanagae Sanpei), who came to Japan from Korea.
