I am Japanese and live in near Osaka.
There is an interesting place in Kansai, regarding manga and anime.
Do you know Osamu Tezuka? He is a pioneer of modern manga, created a lot of products such as Astro Boy.He has influenced many young creators and he is also said to be God of manga and anime.
There is a memorial museum of his in Hyogo Takarazuka. We can enjoy several experiences and read his manga to our extents. It takes about half an hour from Osaka to Takarazuka.
If you are interested in this, I recommend to visit it.

How much should be budgeted for a similar trip (USA to Japan)?
I went to Shirakawa-go, the place where Hinamizawa (Higurashi no naku koro ni village) is based on, and it’s so beautiful 🩷🩷
I play otome games (code realize, collar x malice, olympia soiree, piofiore, etc) so it’s not exactly anime. I wonder if they have merch there in otome road.
