I love this concept very much! Can anyone tell me if you have to purchase special cloth for this purpose? Is it a practise where you use whatever cloth you have available to you, and the recipient keeps it?

@Earth-Grammie 2023.12.13 08:42

thank you for giving ideas on how not to over use wrapping paper and save lost of waste!

@SuperGatochico 2023.12.01 23:29

sorry... vertical knots are for funeral....

@laurenwilkinson6771 2023.11.03 13:54

Ok, but small point, to have the ends cross away from the fold is for funeral, you probably want them facing the same direction as where it folds from.

Thanks!

Thank you so much for this. I have a coworker that I wanted to give a gift to and honor him with a furoshiki wrapped gift.

@zhulaanditarajasa8288 2023.04.06 03:34

Nice! Thank you. May i ask, what material does it use?

What about the flap on the bottom

@brittanywinn3955 2022.12.10 03:42

This isn't right. The ties ending in that cross shaped direction is reserved for death...this should be avoided.

@AdviceMom-1 2022.12.09 20:15

The knot you have tied is acceptable only for gifts given at funerals. Fine if you are gifting for Americans but don't present this to Japanese (unless they are dead).

@osh135 2022.10.18 07:38

After you initially wrapped the box you tucked the bit sticking out underneath but wouldn't that just hang loose when you lift the box?

@Jrocknrolla 2022.07.27 16:07

I don't get how the underside "flap" doesn't just come undone when you pick up the package as it would seem you lift it and it opens. (For course I have yet to try this.. but will soon lol)

@atelierloulou6551 2021.12.11 10:02

What kind of fabric can you use?

@grumpy-dad3701 2021.11.18 14:01

Going to try this for Christmas instead of paper
