Two Michelin Star Modern Kaiseki at DEN - 傳 Tokyo!

Now listed as No. 17 on the World's Best 50 Restaurants and No. 2 in Asia in addition to earning two Michelin Stars, Den Tokyo is one of the most unique dining experiences out there. This restaurant and all of its food gushes with head Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa's personality. Not only is each dish presented in a non-traditional and cleverly hilarious way, all of the dishes that I tried were delicious and really lived up to the hype.

All diners sit at a communal dining table and enjoy a 8-9 course modern kaiseki tasting menu which features many creative and playful dishes. Cost is a very reasonable 15k yen (~$140 USD). The chef's sense of humor is apparent in each of the courses and the flavors are on point.

How u know to avoid tourist trap Japanese restaurant , if all comments here are English, tourists,, skipped…great Japanese authentic restaurant don’t entertain English menus or speaking foreigners..if u have problems speaking Japanese..just say omakase…tuck in whatever is served…don’t care about $$$ as kaseiki is never cheap at all..worry about budget, please skipped kaseiki / teppanyaki/wagyu steaks.. head to Macdonald or casual joints.
