Satsuma Vidro-Satsuma Cut Glass-Old Style-Square plate

This is a rare faceted plate of an easy-to-use size, reprinting a design that was made by the Satsuma clan at the end of the Edo period.
The glass is named "Koshiki(Old style)" which reproduces the texture of cut glass, which was carved into transparent fabric, by adding iron oxide and other materials and blending it to a thin, pale yellow color.
The four sides are cut and shaped with accents to create a cool dining experience with water sweets, desserts, and fruits.

What is Satsuma cut glass?
Using crystal glass, colored glass is fused to the surface of colorless glass by 1 mm or more.
The colored glass is then deeply cut and carefully polished, and the product is called "Satsuma cut glass."
Satsuma cut glass is characterized by the gradation, or "blurring," that occurs between the clear glass and the colored glass because of the thickness and light color of the covered colored glass.
