I tried eating over 50 plates of sushi at Sushiro in Tokyo - Japan’s top conveyor sushi chain at their flagship Tokyo restaurant.
THANKS to SUSHIRO for letting us in to eat all the sushi on the menu!

NOTIFICATION SQUAD: On a scale of 1 to face stuffing, this was quite the meal. In a weird way, it felt like actual research this time around as we discovered the most popular dishes on the menu. I can delude myself it was an educational experience...
BUT WHAT is your favourite sushi on the menu? Let us know below!

I laugh when they say Oh this is expensive, probably around $10 for the tuna sampler plate. I paid $18 for a salad in Connecticut today- and that's not unusual. Dinner for two at a low-mid level restaurant is rarely under $50-60 for two here. Hell a McDonalds meal is almost $15 with tax here. When I visit Japan this summer I AM GOING TO EAT LIKE A KING AT THOSE PRICES.

@IOffspringI 2026.01.25 18:24

To me as a swiss person these price tags are insultingly low.

@VexNecwos 2026.01.21 08:31

Chris kept going for the expensive fancy stuff, while I learned from his channel that Japanese people tend to prefer simple and cheap and well 90% of the top 10 ended up being simple and in the cheaper options

The conveyor sushi in the US is very very mediocre

@cyberpegasus1311 2026.01.05 13:11

Not even 15 plates and full?

@OfficialHollieMay 2025.12.20 07:26

We went to this chain last summer and I was surprised by the quality of the produce for the price. Everything was very fresh and well-cut. We had a tasty meal for not too much and got very full.

Soy sauce; recently in the past six months, I have been exploring soy sauce. The last time I was in San Francisco Chinatown, I tasted some of the most fantastic soy sauces with my food. I think I’m now addicted to double fermented soy sauce. I’ve been wondering…. Is it considered totally inconsiderate offensive, and just something you don’t do… to bring my own soy sauce. In the states, I carry condiments. This is because of the low quality you find. When I go to an Italian restaurant, I have my own Olive Oil. Mine has flavor and it has a character profile. The Olive Oil that you’re supposed to dip your bread in at a restaurant that’s it you…. Even at the $50 plate plus spaghetti, restaurants they give you cooking Olive Oil. Not salad Olive Oil but cooking. And don’t get me started on the balsamic vinegar. Yes I’m a food snob.

I love yellowtail, mackerel, eel……..

@SuperNEStalgic 2025.07.14 04:08

That manager was so much fun.

@DanielAnderssson 2025.07.06 16:56

You both looked fatigued and poisoned by all that sugar rice in the end. 😂
Try to limit your carbs guys!

@roberthorst5790 2025.06.23 12:37

If i go to japan, I'll get fat i love sushi

@ylegeyda 2025.05.22 12:25

As an uncultured swine Australian, I like to make a saucepan sized bowl of soy sauce and enough fake wasabi to make your eyes water just from looking at it. Then I dunk the entire sushi piece into this bowl, making the rice suck up a considerable amount of this wasabi laden mixture. After a few minutes of wiping away tears and blowing my nose, I regain the ability to speak and repeat the process all over again.
Am ai doing it wrong?
