Satsuma Vidro-Satsuma Cut Glass-Old Style-Noodle cup

"Koshiki(Old style)" is the name given to a glass that reproduces the texture of cut glass carved into transparent fabric made by the Satsuma clan at the end of the Edo period, by adding iron oxide and other materials and blending it into a thin, pale yellow color. The monochrome gradation from the thickly molded fabric to the drinking cup can also be enjoyed.

What is Satsuma cut glass?
Using crystal glass, colored glass is fused to the surface of colorless glass by 1 mm or more.
The colored glass is then deeply cut and carefully polished, and the product is called "Satsuma cut glass."
Satsuma cut glass is characterized by the gradation, or "blurring," that occurs between the clear glass and the colored glass because of the thickness and light color of the covered colored glass.
